Today it’s possible to travel backwards in time!
The 6inviaggio project offers teachers and students the possibility to travel through time discovering Florence and its territory through various epochs.
Etruscan and Roman antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the seventeenth, eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth century are the epochs proposed by the Museums involved in the project, offering hands-on activities appropriately designed for youth of all ages and levels of study.
Collaboration between the 4 museums has resulted in the development of a series of educational proposals intended to offer unusual and unfamiliar glimpses of Florence and its territory.
The activities engage different methods of communication: guided visits, interactive workshops, multimedia games, and theatrical pieces, all finalised toward creating a dialogue between the past and our present moment in time.
Instructors may choose one or more activities, even from different epochs, and accompany the students along the paths of history, based on their own formative requirements.
The cost of each proposed project activity is 4 euro. Accompanying instructors areoffered gratuitous participation.
For classes adhering to the project reserving 2 activities in 2 different museums the second workshop is offered free of charge.
For information and reservations contact the administrative offices of the Museums. Detailed thematic itinerary of the various programs is available for download in pdf on each museum website or at www.6inviaggio.org
